During my recent business trip, I had the pleasure of staying at Barcelona Motel, a charming spot just a 5-minute walk from Taupo's bustling town center. The location proved incredibly convenient for both work and exploration, allowing me to easily dive into the area's natural beauties, like the stunning Huka Falls. The room itself was a cozy sanctuary with fresh carpets and a heavenly comfortable bed, perfect for unwinding after a day of meetings. I particularly appreciated having a kitchenette, which made it easy to whip up a quick meal and was ideal for a single architect like me who enjoys cooking and saving on dining costs. I could also lounge in the shared garden area, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. I did hear some mixed sentiments about the motel concerning service, which I hope they can improve. Despite this, the atmosphere was warm, and I thoroughly enjoyed my restful night before packing up to continue my journey. For travelers seeking a blend of functionality and a touch of adventure in Taupo, this motel is definitely worth considering!
